Hidden Valley mine is located in Bulolo District in Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. The mine is approximately 90 kilometres southwest of the port city of Lae, PNG’s industrial hub and second largest city. Hidden Valley is an open pit gold and silver mine, consisting of three main deposits: Hidden Valley, Kaveroi and Hamata. HBS Machinery Ltd partnered with land owner company NKW Holdings Ltd to form a joint venture company in 2010. The company, Hidden Valley Contractors Limited (HVC) has grown to service the mine by providing extensive plant and crushing operations
During times of the mine’s major growth, HVC has employed over 200 people managing 60+ items of heavy machinery operating 24/7. HVC provides a comprehensive fleet of equipment to assist mine operations by providing the majority of machinery requirements outside of the mine’s core mining fleet. In crushing operations we supply the mine with product exceeding 500,000 tonne p.a. HVC has achieved excellent results in safety having achieved a milestone of delivering in excess of 4,000,000 man hours lost time injury free.
